Selection of the topic
This is the most important component of a blog. Selection of the topic should in such a way that it covers each and every person’s interest. Think at the place of other people that what they want and what is the requirement of them when they search about a specific topic. Topic of a blog must not be for some specific people only. That would be interesting for the people of any age. For e.g If your blog is about gardening then put that much material that the visitor wants to know. When visitors come to your blog, they never feel the need of any other blog to get information about the topic.
Make regular posts in a proper schedule
Making your blog perfect and popular among the people, you must make new posts regularly and in a schedule. If you have some returning visitors then to keep them returning, you have to put something new for them. If you don’t update your blog on regular basis then you will loose the ‘assets’ of your blog because I think that returning visitors are the assets of any blog or website though they don’t result into much earnings but they are the unique source of your blog’s popularity and ranking.
Make a natural blog
This heading sounds funny but it’s the fact. Make you blog in such a way that the visitors should feel comfort. They shouldn’t feel that anything in the blog is artificial or virtual. Give a feeling to your visitors that you are telling them about the topic yourself. Also encourage them to give you comments or requests for anything they want to know and then give them a proper response. This will increase the popularity of your blog and you will get a bunch of returning visitors.
Interact with your visitors in comment box
That’s the basic ingredient of a perfect blog. If you receive any comment from visitors, reply them with thanks and interact with them. This makes a perfect blog and gives the feeling of the term ‘blog’. Take a review from them about your blog and give them a free hand to criticize or appreciate your work. Ask them what they want and then serve them..

There are many websites that offers free templates for your blog. Surf some hours in selecting a suitable template for your blog. Also see what are your requirements and how many columns you want in your blog. I prefer white background for blogs if you want to display ads also. Geographic needs
Your first preference is your country mates and it’s a natural thing that you get more visits from your own country. If you are from Asian country then don’t make a blog that contains all the posts about western countries. Look at your stats and see the number of visitors coming from different countries. If you have more visitors from your country then do work more for them and then prefer the second country that has maximum visits.
Focusing the keywords
Keep checking the keywords detail that drives traffic to your blog. Focus on the keywords that are giving you maximum visits. You can use Google Webmasters Tools or Google Analytics for this purpose.
